Privacy, in plain English

What we collect, and why.

Life, Legally. is run by Manak Solicitors. This page explains the project specifically; the firm's full policy sits alongside it.

What you give us

  • Your answers to the assessment questions.
  • A postcode, used to find your region and nearest office.
  • Your name and email address, so your report can reach you.
  • A telephone number only if you ask us to call.

Your choices

  • Include my answers in the anonymous Life, Legally. Index.Your name and contact details will never appear in public statistics.
  • I'd like a member of Manak Solicitors to contact me about an area highlighted in my report.
  • Send me occasional plain-English legal guidance from Manak Solicitors by email.
  • I'm happy to receive occasional telephone updates from Manak Solicitors.

Each choice is recorded separately, with the exact wording you agreed to and when. Nothing is bundled, and nothing is pre-ticked except inclusion in the anonymous index, which you can decline.

What is published

Only aggregated statistics, and only where a group is large enough to protect the people in it. Your name, email, telephone number and full postcode never appear in any public figure.

How long we keep it

Contact details are retained for as long as we have a reason to hold them and then removed. Anonymous, aggregated statistics may be retained indefinitely because they no longer identify anyone.

Your rights

You can ask for a copy of your information, ask us to correct or delete it, or withdraw any consent at any time. Contact Manak Solicitors and we will act on it.
